Melissa Collett appointed as CEO of Insurtech UK

This strategic appointment aims to advance the organisation’s mission of fostering innovation in the insurance sector through technology while positioning the UK as a global leader in insurance innovation.

Ms. Collett officially assumed her role on 8th September 2023. Her responsibilities include strengthening Insurtech UK’s relationships with governmental bodies and regulators to represent the interests of its members. She also plans to establish global partnerships with insurtech hubs, facilitating the expansion of UK insurtech companies worldwide.

Insurtech UK boasts a robust membership base of over 130 companies, including 100 insurtech firms and 30 traditional insurance and related industry partners. Collett’s agenda includes expanding this membership and further fostering collaboration between insurers and insurtechs to establish the UK as a global insurtech hub. Additionally, she aims to promote insurtech as a distinct sector, separate from fintech.
